Live Active – Do Something!

The Live Active—Do Something! (LADS) event takes place on Monday 7th December 2015 at The Pavilion, Huncote and is to be attended by 110 targeted boys from 11 secondary schools across our area.  The aim of the event is to encourage teenage boys to try a range of new & exciting activities and adopt a healthy lifestyle/ positive self image using sport and education as the vehicleshe boys attending will take part in a range of fitness based activities, including dodgeball, martial arts, boxercise and core stability. 

The boys will be given information on opportunities they may want to take part in after the event within the community, for example at sports clubs or the leisure centre.  Their schools will also encourage and support them to take part in and enjoy more PE and school sport.  The boys will be given a t-shirt and  goodie bag containing a range of information on these opportunities as well as some snacks . The Pavilion (Huncote)  have kindly offered to provide their facilities for the event.
