Sporting Successes at Beauchamp College

Courtney Wildin
Aston Villa
Courtney Wildin is an ex-Beauchamp College student who took GCSE
PE and has been currently undertaking a scholarship at premier
League Aston Villa Football Club and due to his continued progress
and development within that programme has recently signed
professional forms with the club. A great success for Courtney and
we wish him well in the future.

George Thomas
Coventry City Football Club
George Thomas is currently undertaking a scholarship at
Coventry City Football Club and had represented Wales at U17’s
level. SOver the last few months his successes have grown with George
making his Coventry City first team debut at the age of 16, away
at Leyton Orient FC in a Football League fixture, making him the
youngest player since 1956 to play for Coventry City and the
second youngest player in history to represent the club.

Mari Taylor
Squash
Mari taylor a year 11 GCSE PE student has just been selected to
represent the Great Britain team in the European Championships
in May of this year. Mari is playing at U17 level so playing up an
age group highlighting the magnitude of her achievement. Well
done Mari and we wish her the very best of luck in the forthcoming
competition

Panigotis Mamuneas
Power lifting
Pani who is one of the top ranked junior athletes in the UK has
had a very successful season in powerlifting. He was selected
to compete in the Great Britain team for the 2014 World
Championships in Dubai. He travelled to the country on 2 April to
represent the 54kg weight class and has been very successful in the Championships securing a silver
medal in his category.
