This Girl Can is an innovative national campaign developed by Sport England to encourage women and girls to become more physically active, regardless of shape, size or ability.
Schools clearly have a unique and powerful part to play in helping girls to understand and learn how to overcome barriers to participation in physical activity. For this reason, Sport England commissioned the Association for Physical Education to develop resources to support teachers and students to engage with the messages of This Girl Can.
The free downloadable resources for schools have been designed to support secondary teachers to help girls feel that they can access and use physical activity in order to make positive differences to their own health and emotional wellbeing.
