Mental Health Awareness Week - 13 to 19 May 2024

Mental Health Week 2024- Movement

Mental Health Awareness Week 2024, hosted by the Mental Health Foundation will take place from 13 to 19 May, on the theme of “Movement: Moving more for our mental health”. We are supporting the week by encouraging students and staff to take a Wellbeing Walk. Walking has so many benefits for both your physical and mental health. A brisk walk can help build stamina, burn calories and keep your heart healthy. Walking can increase self-esteem, reduce stress and lower anxiety. If you’re struggling to sleep or finding it difficult to concentrate, walking works wonders and is also a fantastic mood booster!

We’ve put together some simple ideas and activities to enjoy on your wellbeing walk.
